We arent "really" marginalized, this is just some illusion.

Afrikaners are now better off than ever before, and hate crimes against Afrikaners are non-existent these days. The SACP (South African Communist Party) is now also trying to win the support of Afrikaners by issuing positive statements about farmers, they have also expressed their deepest concerns about the future of Afrikaans. The ANCYL also released statements, claiming that their relations with Afrikaners are better than the SACP's. AZAPO's spokesman responded to these developments by stating "We are confident in our good relations with farmers, we will continue to protect them". GNAA could not be reached for comment.

He said the recent power outage in Bedfordview - which lasted three days - had resulted in direct and consequential damage claims against the Ekurhuleni Metro municipality.

Selebi is as deranged as JB. The outage in Bedfordview was not caused by cable theft, but by incompetence... the incompetence of workers employed by the Ekurhuleni Metro. Of course the metro is liable.

The dealers are mostly involved with the GOV and Police members. You just need to follow the local news to see prove of it. Regarding Jobs That the ANC cannot or do want to produce. Fat-cats makes to much out of the privileged few. Why would they want to change that.

Goes to show that Government is never accountable.
And when you sue, the proceeds are just your taxes coming back and someone else down the line is short changed.

Here at home I am so frustrated with the Council Officials employed at the South Peninsula Municipality. They have this uncanny ability and skill on how to get you off the phone when phoning up with a query.
At the end of the phone call you are no further forward than you were before. In actual fact you are a few step backwards as now you think you have spoken with officials, but you never got the answers you were looking for and the situation drags on week after week, month after month.

At the end of the phone call you are no further forward than you were before. In actual fact you are a few step backwards as now you think you have spoken with officials, but you never got the answers you were looking for and the situation drags on week after week, month after month.

In Jo'burg (where municipal service levels were so low as to be non existent) the local newspaper, The STar started a weekly column called Metro Watch. In the column, they invited readers to write or call in with problems relating to municipal services (or lack thereof). It really seems to work, as all the issues raised seem to be resolved fairly quickly. Maybe you should lobby the Argus or Cape Times (they are part the same company - Independent Newspapers) to do the same - (unless they do so already, of course - I don't see those papers much.)

Sapa has since reported that power had finally been restored to Bedfordview, East of Johannesburg, including the vast East Gate shopping mall after the outage which began early on Monday morning.


It has turned out that a team of workmen contracted to the metro, fitting CCTV cables, damaged several key electricity pipelines in February. And, although Eskom was aware of the precarious electricity supply situation this created, it did nothing to fix the problem.

Instead, electricity had been fed to the area along a second power cable until the early hours of Monday morning when that, too, blew up, leaving thousands of residents and businesses without power.

Part of the problem at our Local Council was the previous ANC Led Council as they simply made all the top management reapply for their jobs. Mostly white people might I add. Some of these people started out with Council after they left school and basically their career is with Council.
Now thier posts were declared redundant and they were retrenched and with that move you have hundreds if not thousands of skilled people sitting at home long before the time they should retired with their Pension/Provident Funds and Lucrative payouts to keep them quiet.
Basically they robbed the Ratepayers, as not only did this exercise cost short of R100Million, it has left a void of skills that cannot be plugged as their simply isn't the necessary skills amongst the few that are left. And what is left are so demoralised I am pretty sure they have no job satisfaction and are simply their for the pay at the end of the month.

Things like refuse collections and the simple menial tasks are still completed, but there is nobody left skilled enough in Planning and Development and the few that might have the talent are overlooked or they are floating with no actual appointment as many of these individuals are white.
Ratepayers are paying dearly as now Council has to subcontract to find people to do the work.
A vicious circle and I see no light at the end of the tunnel as yet.
Mayor Zille can only do so much in one day. It is going to take years to fix all the stuff ups and that is not considering what stuffs they will encounter along the way.
And with 2010 looming all this negativity and problems couldn't have happened at a more inappropriate time.
