A building I own a property in needs to undergo a few changes with the above.
On the roof there are 2 separate antennae (UHf / VHF type) & 2 amplifiers,
one for SABC 1,2,3 & E,
& the other is for MNET. (the entire building is subscribed to MNET).
These signals are fed through the central aerial system to all apartments.
Then there is also a dish for DSTV. The DSTV signal is supplied to individual apartments through numerous separate cables to apartments having their own decoders.
This is becoming messy as each time a owner decides to subscribe to DSTV a new cable has to be run for that apartment.
It has come to the point where the entire building needs to be centrally cabled for DSTV.
Inside each apartment is the typical antenna wall plug comprising 2 sockets, 1 for TV & a 2nd labelled "FM".
There is no FM signal or equipment connected the "FM" socket.
My question is this - could the unused "FM" line be adapted or modified, to allow individual apartments to connect to the DSTV Dish / equip etc. on the rooftop.
