I know this device. I sell a few different models of Android tablets and this model does not play any of the decent games out there. The chipset isn't powerful enough. Its a pretty entry level android epad.
Have you tried playing a xvid or h264 movie file yet?
Install setcpu on it and you will see the processor is not 800Mhz. Probably 600mhz or 400Mhz. The Chinese suppliers mostly lie about CPU speeds.

Thanks man. downloaded the setcpu app and installed. Dont know how to use it though, gave me a whole bunch of options. Any other easier way of checking the CPU or a more user friendly app?
Right, downloaded the aisystem widget, it says that the factory frequency is 174.48Mhz ???? It says that the internal memory is 604MB total BUT when i go into settings - storage it shows internal as 0.98GB and system as 0.9GB which is more or less in line with the 2GB i was told it had. So, which is correct?? how do i verify?
for interest sake it has a arm926ej-s rev 5 v5l processor

Apprently its 175mhz or 350mhz... not clear.
so ya your probably running Android 1.6, and you wont be able to run pretty much anything worth it
