I see under settings there is 'myMTN' in the dashboard. Passwd *** so I'm
assuming password to be "mtn" or "MTN".

If I change it to "internet" is the password the same? whats the
difference? different login areas? ???

when I phoned(1555 i think) to have my sim activated for 3G previously they activated it from their side? anyone know what the command to get those settings sent over the air are? I think the *123# is only gprs/wap but what about hsdpa/3g? or can they only activate it on the network from the operators side?

there was a power out in Cpt CBD yesterday, wondering if the networks get affected by this? since I can connect just not receive yesterday/last night. ie: wondering if MTN servers crash or settings change.

The myMTN and internet APN is identical (routing, capacity, etc.) except in name.
The username and password is not relevant for these APNs, keep it empty or type in anything, it doesn't matter.
MTN had a failure on Cape Town 3G packet data for some time from yesterday due to backbone link failures - fixed now.

Hi
No provisioning is required for 3G/HSDPA. As long as the sim is provisioned for GPRS, it will work.
If you would like to use video calling then you will need to request for that service seperately on the USSD *123# Menu. This will activate HSCSD which will allow you to utilise video calls.
