Hi guys,
I just made my first Android app and I'll really appreciate it if you can test it and provide feedback, here or on the Play Store.
The app uses your GPS to clock your acceleration and top speed.
How does it work?
1. Switch on GPS
2. Open app,
3. Wait for GPS to lock, and stand completely still
4. Then, do a drag race to record your best:
0-60km/h time
0-100km/h time
Quarter mile time
Top speed
Stand still again to reset the clock. Repeat as many times as you'd like - the app will automatically only save your best times.
I would really appreciate if you can install my app, test it and rate it (in app, play store, and here).
My two main concerns now are:
1. How accurately the GPS works on different devices. I myself have tested on Samsung Galaxy S4 upwards, and LG2 upwards. The LG's couldn't get an accurate enough GPS lock. Please use the Rate page in the app to rate your GPS accuracy - I get then get your rating plus the device model you used.
2. The legality of the app, and the likelihood of being sued if there is an accident. I do have an in-app disclaimer that the user needs to accept before using the app.
iOS version coming soon, and the UI still needs lots of work.
