App to prevent service 'hangs'

G'evening guys

I wanted to post in the software section but I don't think they would know what I wanted. There was an upload there recently which kept a connection alive by pinging every couple of minutes. I don't think that will work in this instance.

Can someone help?

What Neotel service are you using. I have a strange situation where I get "local only" connections on whichever connection (wired or wireless) I am using. The other one is disabled.

If I reset the router then it helps for a little bit but then it goes wonky again. If I disable the one connection and re-enable the other then it solves it for a few days.

Using Vista 32bit Ultimate edition. NeoFlex 10GB

Hi pope24 Thanks for replying, I'm on a Prime package. I note that ppl on this forum are using routers S'pose this is 'cos they have pc's @ home as well, yes? Can you provide more details on these routers, special Neotel ones and are you using it a network @ home?

Yep that local only messsage annoys me to no end, like IDM was s'posed to dload a whole of stuff from last night - nothing, the whole of today - nothing And I'm on a Prime package and in an excellent coverage area too

I've also noticed Outpost Firewall blocking DNS IP. So I've uninstalled and just using default windows firewall for now - just thought I'd share that useless piece of info with you guys.
