I'm addressing this open letter to appeal to you to unlock the thread which I created, titled 'ASA Complaint'.
I am unable to PM you, as you seem to have blocked PM's to your account.
I acknowledge that you did warn fellow forum members to retrain themselves in the thread and that you were compelled to lock it because a few individuals could not act in a civil manner towards one another. This was unfortunate.
However, having said that we still sit with the problem with Cell-C's offerings, and disgraceful manner in with they are dealing with us as affected and aggrieved customers. This is evident in the on-going threads in this regard, still being added to the forum.
The purpose of my thread was neither to cause disruption to your forum or to attack any person, but to encourage healthy public debate and critical discussion about consumerism and a possible recourse in this matter which I am pursuing.
Nevertheless, this forum's claim to promote consumerism and civil activism over issues affecting technology users in SA and acts as a medium to keep people on the pulse.
In my opinion, locking (closing) the thread down has effectively shut down our legitimate protest and is in conflict with the spirit & purpose of this forum. Instead of shutting down this current debate, I believe you should have rather censored the individuals who were responsible for their behavior, individually.
Therefore, please consider my request and put the real power back into the hands of the people!
