Work paying for a Apple 14 256gb and i can just top it up to get to the pro. Feeling like i might be buying into the marketing but feels like its worth it to get the better screen and camera. Any one done it and regretted paying the extra few thousand?

Yes, the 14 and 14 Pro are leagues apart.

The Pro has a much better LTPO display, far superior 48MP camera, much better speakers and much better A16 Bionic CPU compared to the last gen A15 found in the 14.

The 14 is a much lower end phone.

great, these are the comments i was hoping to see.

Is the brightness / Apple Pay bug still in iPhone 14 ? Or have they fixed it?

Even with brightness all the way to the bottom, selecting Discovery cards seems to automatically override & increase the brightness.

Not serious - just a bit of annoyance in some situations

Could you expand a bit more? It's not something I've heard about and what exactly do you mean by select a Discovery card in ApplePay?

Some apps do have a feature where the brightness increases when a QR or barcode is presented on screen, I haven't heard of it increasing when viewing bank cards in the wallet though.

An - that’s exactly what it is.

Gotta admit that’s pretty smart.

So my wallet is both my FNB cards and Discovery medical aid cards (with barcodes). I reset everything and was busy loading when I noticed the brightness increase when the Discovery cards were selected. Makes perfect sense though.

I heard abroad they have other cards that can be added (ie loyalty cards). Do we have anything else?

It also happens with 'Stocard' loyalty barcodes at Woolworths etc.

Is there a list of accepted cards?

You can add whatever card you want. I have Clicks and Checkers in the app and Woolworths on a widget. Pretty handy as most days I don’t carry a wallet anymore.

Checkers is a pain as many/most of their stores can't scan the code so they have to enter it manually. This is the case in four of the five stores I visit regularly. I just keep the card in a magsafe wallet.

Use the Stocard app to add them to Wallet.
