Apple Acknowledges iPhone 5 Camera Problem, Says You’re Holding It Wrong.

I'm thinking those latest comparisons are meant to be showing the iPhone is not that bad. Or not alone. But I'm not sure it is really serving the argument well :)


The Xperia J puts up a good fight as the worst of the bunch and almost pips the 4S. Not bad going for a $270 phone... ;)

A bit like the purple haze iphone photos ;)

I discovered it by accident, was taking the photo with my Galaxy to illustrate what a hood does to the iphone 5 and when the light caught the corner of the frame, it was like "BAM" Incredible Hulk arrives and everything went green..

This was the photo I was taking:

The reason was to prove/disprove it as a light flare (which I'm now sure it is).

I took this photo with the iphone 5.

Then I added the little "hood" and retook the photo:

With the light shaded from the lens, it was instantly cured.

iShade for your iPhone 5, comming right up. iShade covers too. Have to be bought from Apple for ensured effectiveness.
 
So every single camera phone in the world suffers from this issue, Apple better apologize!!
 
Anandtech reviewed the iPhone5 thoroughly last night. The scuffing issue they were quite strong about being a manufacturing flaw, but the purple flare they said was a perfectly normal artifact of many cameras and not an issue. It is there but it's quite normal, not to do with the sapphire lens, that's just ignorant.
