Apple Airprint on Canon

Hey, been having an issue with getting my airprint to work between my Ipad 3 and my new cannon Airprint enabled printer. Both the iPad and the Printer is connected to my network via an ADSL router but my iPad does not pick my Printer.

Any advice? I specially bought the printer for this.

Check to see if there is a firmware update for the printer.

Have same problem with an HP Airprint compatible printer that is supposedly fixed via firmware update to printer (havent tried it yet)

I've had countless issues trying to see my Canon printer [airprint enabled] from an iPad [3]. If it's not on the same AP you can't see it. Sometimes it needs to be restarted before the iPad can see it. It's rather hit and miss in my experience.

Try enabling uPNP on your Router.

Also what router? Might be an overzealous firewall.

Ok I will try this, it is a netgear dgn2200 adsl wi-fi router.
