Apple App store unresponsive?

Needed to download a new app from the App store this morning. All I get is the spinning circle on both iPhone and Mac. Went to my Apple account, signed out of Media & Purchases but now I cannot sign back in there again. Anyone got any suggestions?

Turns out is was poor internet connectivity @SauRoNZA

Works fine for as well, even used the Mac App Store in the AM (which I seldom use).

I have that with the watch app store.
