Apple cuts HomePod pricing

Apple has cut the price of its HomePod smart speaker across the world without disclosing its reason for doing so.

The HomePod price has dropped from $349 to $299 in the US, from £319 to £279 in the UK, and from AU$499 to AU$469 in Australia.

The lack of compatibility really screwed the HomePod. By all accounts, it seems to be a phenomenally good speaker for the price. Even buying two HomePods for a room is incomparably more affordable than heading to your local AV expert and getting some good bookshelf speakers.

But it doesn't play nicely with anything but Apple Music. And Siri is dumb as a rock. Bit of a dealbreaker.

Yeah, on the siri front, she is dumb because of privacy.
But I would still love to hear this speaker in person. Everyone is raving about the sound quality.
