I saw in a previous thread that this process is done via fax for us in ZA. Is this still the case? Can you use your US account to register or must you use a ZA account seeing that there is money involved. And are we allowed to have our apps in all the app stores or are you limited to specific ones.

The registration is done online but you have to fax company documentation and signed contracts to them which I think is normal for all developers, even ones in the US. The part that is slightly different for SA is the payment cannot be done online but has to be done manually by faxing a doc with your credit card number to them. As far as the apple id you use, it doesn't matter which app store country it is registered with. I created a new apple id for dev that is not linked to an app store.

You can sell your apps in all the app stores for all countries and can actually choose which countries you want it in. Certain countries have limitations what can be sold like you cannot sell Games on the SA app store.

I'm not sure what the process is like for a personal registration but the company registration actually takes quite a long time. You have to send them a whole bunch of docs like Company registration docs, cipro doc. They also call you for verification. The whole process took us about a month because there is always a wait between steps for them to process stuff that you submit to them. Once you have a developer account then you have to go through another big mission if you want to sell you apps for money as then there are bank, payment and tax documents that you have to submit as well.
