Apple for dummies

Hi guys.

My son was given some Apple Ibook thingie by a friend.

Now this being my first interaction with anything Apple, is there somewhere that I can get a crash course in how to operate the thing?
Just basics, he is 8 so hopefully won't be doing much more that watching movies and playing games on it.

The Apple iBook is a very, very old notebook by Apple. Not sure if you can get it to work still.

It seems to be working, plays DVD's and the games on it and such.

Just looking for a quick reference guide or some such as to how the OS works basically
