My first time using an apple and i need to install Apple developer tools. It looks like I can download it but i need an Apple ID...Where/how do I get one of these?

The developer tools are also on your install disk.

Whenever I try register I get a session timed out message strange. We dont have the CD for the mac anymore so need to download the tool.

One would expect the site to be 100% safari compatible - give it a shot, at least it would rule out browser compatibility issues.
