Apple iPad Software Question

Hi All,

Just a quick question. I purchased a 32Gb (wifi&3g) Apple iPad2 through Look & Listen last week. I downloaded a few apps and im very happy. Just one thing, I see that the iPad has the ios 4.3 or something and not the latest software? Shouldn't it be preloaded with the latest software when you buy new? Yes I know it could be oldish stock but can I go to apple and ask for the latest version for free. The new ios5.3 or what ever is 750Mb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

i have heard you can ask an istore for the latest software, some charge i heard though

otherwise just let it download over night if you on ADSL, if you on 3g, well then that sucks

iOS 5 is free as well, unless you are counting the cost of data for some reason???
If so, ask one of your friends that isn't still on a capped internet connection to download it for you

i think the issue is OP has small cap or is on 3G

No charge afaik. Just take it to an iStore and they will update it for you.

Yea - iStore Clearwater did it at no charge .... They didn't seem too happy though
