Will it really be worth it for you to miss out on the 18 and get the year old 17?
Or maybe skip 18 and wait for the 20th anniversary lineup.

Personally, a couple of months ago I bought a 17 for me and my wife both coming from the 15 Pros, and now with the 120Hz pro motion I don’t see the need to get a pro again.

Thank you. In predicting quite a big price increase in SA based on how Macs have gone up, I found a sealed 17P 512GB for R20k + a bit of time and driving, which I think is a steal. Also needed to time it with selling my 15P 256GB. Should be OK without the latest model especially because performance seems negligible this time. :)
 
Which cases and screen protectors do you all use?

The large camera bump being bare in most 17P cases scares me, but I also understand a full cover with lens/LED/sensor cutouts can affect photos. I found the first one which seems like a good solution.

I have had the black Orro cases with clear backs for my last iPhones and they’ve been decent and protected against all occasional drops.

I’ve also found the JETech screen protectors to have been decent on several iPhones. 3-packs and very easy to fit.

Then lastly I found this case which appears to be similar to the Orro for R100 cheaper. Will return what I don’t use.

Been using Rhinoshield Bumpers for a long time now. I hate having the back of the phone covered inside a case.

The Rhinoshield bumpers are next level. On my 17 Pro, I have one of their screen protectors as well.
