Are we expecting big price increases on iPhone 18 like we’ve had in Macs? Deciding whether to buy a 17 Pro now or wait for 18 Pro. Current is 15 Pro with 89% battery health, which I can still sell for a R5k loss over 3 years.

Will it really be worth it for you to miss out on the 18 and get the year old 17?
Or maybe skip 18 and wait for the 20th anniversary lineup.

Seeing as even the base iPads got a hike a couple of months ago, I’m expecting quite a jump.

But the FOMO is real if the 18s are big leaps and bounds. And what about this fold thing?

Personally, a couple of months ago I bought a 17 for me and my wife both coming from the 15 Pros, and now with the 120Hz pro motion I don’t see the need to get a pro again.

Thank you. In predicting quite a big price increase in SA based on how Macs have gone up, I found a sealed 17P 512GB for R20k + a bit of time and driving, which I think is a steal. Also needed to time it with selling my 15P 256GB. Should be OK without the latest model especially because performance seems negligible this time.
