Looks like lots of the specs around the iPhone 18 will be known quite soon

Dang iPhone 18 Pro Max with C2 modem. Battery life will be incredible.

Price is going to be through the roof. Probably $200+ more per model based on recent price adjustments due to the cost of RAM.

You would think Apple have the supply chain muscle to influence prices, I mean they sell 200m+ units a year. $200 is a **** ton money to add onto a device.

I will probably be skipping this one for me personally but may get my fiancée an 18 Pro, while I stick to my 17 Pro Max. Her 13 Pro Max has served her well but it’s time for an upgrade now and she wants a smaller phone.

What I am hoping for is that the 18 Pro comes with the variable aperture just like the 18 Pro Max is supposed to…seems to be likely going by the rumours.

Some very interesting changes that make a nice step up.

Smaller notch.
Variable aperture.
Bigger battery, especially on the eSIM only model.
Better modem.
TSMC 2nm CPU

BUT iOS 27 is making older phones better and next year is the 20th anniversary iPhone (XX?) with a brand new design, so that makes it super easy to skip. You should only be getting this one if your phone dropped and broke or you get a new iPhone every year anyway.

If the foldable iPhone materialises it would make for a pretty interesting choice. I miss the sub-6" phone genre so a foldable with ~5.5" or so screen size on the outside would be bliss for me.

I’ve always been a fan of bigger phones but I am quite surprised how sub-6” have become so scarce, I always thought I was in the minority for liking big screen phones but it seems now that almost every smartphone is well above 6.3inch, in fact there are among the low end phones it’s not rare to see 6.7-6.9” screens.

Yeah. Remember when 4.3" phones were big and anything above 5.5" was considered a phablet?

Those were the days

Looking forward to the iPhone 18 Pro Max let's hope God blesses me with one

I saw a YouTube Shorts video of a Dell Streak 5 the other day…that thing had a 5inch screen and was considered huge for a phone when it arrived.
Check how that compares to a iPhone 17 Pro Max now, lol…

Back in the day I had an Xperia X10 Mini. Typing on that thing was painful

Apple iPhone 18 Pro: Pre-Orders Begin (Predicted)

The next date in the calendar after the keynote will be the opening of pre-orders. Usually, this is on the Friday after the keynote.

However, since the Friday in question is Sept. 11, a date Apple has respectfully avoided for any activity since 2001, and since this year is the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist event, it’s believed that the pre-orders will open on Saturday, Sept. 12 instead.

The exact timing, if previous timetables are followed, will be at 5 a.m. Pacific, 8 a.m. Eastern, 1 p.m. U.K.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro: The On-Sale Date (Predicted)

Unless there’s an upheaval to the timetable, Apple will put the new phones on sale on the Friday of the week after the keynote, which means the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the first foldable iPhone will land in stores on Friday, Sept. 18.
