Apple iPhone 4 leaked pricing wrong

Well Vodacom's done the obvious thing and milked their exclusivity for all its worth. Here's hoping MTN will put a stop to the insanity. My guess is they will simply hop on the gravy train - but you never know.

expect the final price to be a rip off compared to what they pay overseas! :)

From the article :

MTN and Vodacom are both set to launch the iPhone 4 at two separate events at midnight.

Definitely sponsored by Vaseline.

I have never, and never will, buy an Apple product in SA, it is easy and simple enough to save a fortune buying it on the web.

Got pricing from Autopage for Vodacom.
Talk 240 eg:
16gb R1600 Pay In
32gb R2600 Pay In

If it's true it really isn't that bad.

1 1/2 years ago, i got the HTC touch pro on a talk 500 package as an upgrade. At the time the cash price for it was R10K. I had to pay in R1000 to get it. I would be really happy if the 32GB is along the same lines.

Here's to living in la-la land.

MTN pricing is correct, have signed the contracts at the iStore in V&A

Wow, mtn's pricing looks pretty good if there is no pay in.

Iphone 4 16GB Anytime 200 + 150MB net bundle = R379
Iphone 4 16GB Anytime 200 + 300MB net bundle = R429

Iphone 4 32GB Anytime 200 + 150MB net bundle = R429
Iphone 4 32GB Anytime 200 + 300MB net bundle = R479

i fail to understand why there is such huge marketing hype behind apple product launches...

perhaps they sell status more than functionality....

I agree, that pricing looks insanely good. So if I understand correctly, those 3 stores will be open tonight at midnight?

Why bundle with data at extra cost. No other phones come with a data bundle.

Hope they have pricing without the extra data bundle.

I'm sure they will have a broad pricing spread. The banner only showed some of the options.

So this essentially means the galaxy s and iphone pricing is fairly similar. Interesting times ahead.

Gentlemen, two words (3?) and one number BlackBerry Bold 9700. The iPhone is a toy and always will be. I have an iPad, and a MacBook so not an Apple basher by any means, a fan actually, but for business, let's face it; BlackBerry still rules. I've used the 3GS, struggled with my mail requirements and very promptly moved back to BB. Old habits die hard I guess.

iPhone Rules OK

I can't wait - eek so excited ! I've had the iphone since the first generation - all bought overseas - all jail broken and unlocked - and all gave me problems with software issues , accidental software updates which bricked the phones over time...I am looking forward to having a locally supported device with a local SP. Not worth the hassle of feeling guilty every time something went wrong with my jailbroken phones and having the genius bar guys look at me funny.

Blackberry does not come anywhere close to the iPhone when it comes to apps and user friendliness.

Pricing looks good - hope I don't have to wait to get one !

Does that include your pay in?

@479 with 300mb pm, 250 airtime, no pay in. for 32GB.

Unfortunatly they were out of stock by the time I got there but it's ok because I have to wait 5 days to port from cellc anyway.
