No reason to be too alarmed, but it is a little freaky.
Because normally for a hacker to install an undetectable keylogger, they would typically need Admin control. In this case, a hacker only needs to change the keyboard firmware, which could technically be done from any computer it's plugged into...

Discovered by K. Chen, the concept is simple: a modern Apple keyboard has about 8K of flash memory and 256 bytes of working RAM – more than enough for a primitive keylogger to run.
