Tell me more about it:
(a) OLD SHAPE as in the original could mean PPC or Intel mac. Any idea which? If you turn it upside down, it should have a poorly embossed/printed white label on grey background detailing the mac.
(b) How do you know it has packed up - the symptoms?

Depending on whats wrong and the age it might turn out to be very expensive like anything Apple. I would suggest taking it in for a quote to your closest iStore. They don't charge for shipping and their quotes are obligation free.

If it is totally kapoet then you'll probably end up buying a new one. Mac Mini's aren't that expensive.

Thanks, will try the iStore in Menlyn as it's the closest iPlace for us...
