A significant upgrade to a popular product.

Logic Pro X still has all of the same professional-level features as its predecessor, but also adds some new high-end abilities. In addition, Apple has made the software more approachable to new users with features like Smart Controls (we’ll talk about this later), without taking away any ability for pros to dig down into the plug-ins, preferences or controls.

I hope Aperture gets some TLC next.

64bit only, which is a kick in the nuts for some users running an older Mac Pro, like a mate of mine. Clever on Apple's part though. Make the software cheaper so people will have to shell out on new hardware if they want to use it. I never got in to Logic. Pro Tools is where it's at for me.

I have been looking at this product for a while now. Been using GarageBand, but the music sheet printing in GarageBand is very limited. Time to upgrade :)

Agreed the lack of 64bit is going to hurt some. I have several plugs that are still only available as 32bit. There are several workarounds though.

Use both Pro Tools (Audio Editing) and Logic (Music Composition) here and am loving the new version. The content is a bugger to download if you want to use it on more than one machine. Figured out how to get it directly from Apples site and not via Logic's content downloader. So if anyone wants the links let me know.

Damn ! £135. Broke after buying an air ticket to Joburg. I'll have to wait till payday :(
