Apple says sorry for MacBook keyboard problems

Apple has acknowledged that there are issues with “certain” MacBook keyboards and it is “sorry” for this.

Following a report in The Wall Street Journal on the faulty keyboards, Apple issued a statement where it said it was aware that “a small number of users are having issues with their third-generation butterfly keyboard”.

Off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure everyone I know with a MacBook hates the keyboard. And from my brief exposure to it, it's one of the worst I've ever used. It's not a generally positive experience and Apple should have ditched it ages ago. A terrible example of form over function, which Apple no longer seems to care about balancing.

The 2018 Macbook is much better with the membrane. Also, in most countries Apple will replace any keyboard failures if you have with the old style keyboard. I don't know about the daylight thieves that are Core Group who run the Apple Stores in ZA though, they'll probably make you pay for it...
