Nice, the new 27" Thunderbolt display is a pretty useful dock. If you plug in your Macbook Air you can get Firewire 800, Gigabit ethernet, 3xUSB2.0 and obviously display all running over the Thunderbolt cable. Too cool!

At $999.... at current exchange rate is about R6889 (and that's not taking import duties and shipping costs into account), a bit price for a monitor, even with all the extra bells and whistles

The next monitor abit cheaper is the Dell 27", but that doesn't have the bells and whistles like the Apple monitor. The resolution is very high and colors brilliant. For graphics and video editing its well worth it.
