Apple TV stopped working today

Hi

Any one else having troubles with apple TV today?

All my channels have disappeared? dont know why but have tried everything from resetting to disconnecting?

any advise would help

Dunno if my issue is related but got home today and my internet was not working. After some trouble shooting I removed the UNOTELLY Cape Town Static DNS entry and internet started working. I'm with Axxess. Did they maybe block the IP.? No Hulu no Netflix.

Seems that the Cape Town DNS server for Unotelly's IP is down. Checking Jhb now.

Edit - Nope, seems Unotelly is screwed at the moment.

Just on this, how is the streaming on the Apple TV for Netflix? Is it still HD? UI? thanks

Yeah its great, I've been off DSTV for more that 6 months now and don't miss it at all.

You get more HD options but I think most of it has to do with your internet connection, better the internet connection the better the picture quality, mine only buffers if my mate is downloading iphone updates funny enough, but other that that never, connects to my iphone and ipad with ease. Its awesome technology. Yesterday was the first time I had a problem but was sorted out pretty quickly. I'm very happy with ATV.

Netflix on the apple tv is crap quality. I get better quality on Hulu then I do on Netflix.

If you google Apple TV Netflix quality, you will see this is a widespread problem.

Apparently it has to do with either the Apple TV software or the Netflix app. Neither Apple nor Netflix are taking responsibility and each one blames the other or they blame your internet connection.

I have a 5mb Afrihost Business Uncapped and I get terrible quality on the apple tv with netflix. Hulu is perfect.
