Hi All,

My wife has an Apple Watch Series 3 with a battery not lasting a day. It's about a year old (got it off Amazon knowing the risks with warranties), but I just wondered if any of you had experience with maybe extending the life of the battery?

I know this isn't technically a Mac/iPad/iPhone (I can do the last 2), but hope someone can assist.

Thanks!

Apple Watches aren’t known for battery life. I also charge my Series 3 everyday. Does she use do workouts with her watch? That is a battery drainer. You can push almost 36 - 48 hours if you don’t do workouts, don’t have a lot of notifications, and don’t raise your wrist a lot to wake it.

She runs every other day. For the most part during the holiday she simply wore it and needed to charge it again that night.

Yeah, doesn’t seem abnormal in anyway. Like I said, Apple Watches aren’t known for battery. A mate of mine has a Garmin and he says he only charges that about once a week. I’d kill for such battery life :p

I also have a series 3 but mine lasts about two days with nothing turned off. Location, Raise to wake, notifications, heart rate monitoring etc.

It's not a cellular version though.

I've just upgraded to an SE from the 44mm series 3, and in the three years I had it, it never once conked out in a day. It was always at least 30-40% at the end of the day no matter what I was using it for.
