Never had that be accurate even on Windows lol. I just ignore it.watchOS 26.4 Update was showing some stupid 2/3/4 hrs to update, BT off trick on phone done = updated in like 20mins.
Weird take. I've lost 6kgs in 2025 just trying to close my rings daily. They really help me.If I learned anything from my two months with Whoop, it’s this: Apple Watch activity rings have got to go. “Close your rings” is not a meaningful measure of anything that people really need to change their fitness.
Same sold my old Fossil watch and my wallet is just used for storage now.Not me:
My Watch is on me all the time bar the daily 50min charge & the shower and poop run.

Lol more Gurman doom and gloom. Perhaps if these screenless trackers add mobile payments but even then I won't be able to scan my loyalty cards. Plus with only 5 - 7 day battery life it's not like they're significantly longer lasting.Mark Gurman’s latest Power On newsletter for Bloomberg News highlights a stark reality for Apple’s flagship wearable: after more than a decade on the market, the Apple Watch needs a significant reboot to stay relevant in an evolving health and fitness landscape.
The Shift in Wearables: From Smartwatches to Passive, Screenless Monitoring
The Apple Watch revolutionized the smartwatch category when it launched in 2015, blending fitness tracking, notifications, apps, and health features into a wrist-bound powerhouse. But consumer preferences are changing. Competitors like Whoop (with its subscription-based fitness bands), Oura (popular smart rings), and Google’s affordable Fitbit Air are gaining ground by focusing on discreet, screenless designs that emphasize passive monitoring of recovery, sleep, and overall health metrics—without the constant distractions of notifications or bright displays.
