Had a more thorough look at the specs again. Seems I’ll only lose always-on display if I go with the SE. So, thankfully just one feature limited to this model.
Hopefully I can get a good deal on the S7 so I won’t have to go for SE.

What is it replacing?
A Samsung Galaxy Watch.

I was fortunate that the Galaxy Buds Live I won here are compatible my my iPhone. Saved me having to shell out for AirPods.

So what does it do more than other options?
For my earphones it means noise reduction, EQ presets, being able to configure touch controls, checking battery levels including the charging case, amongst other things available with the app.
Not sure what it means with a samsung watch.

Keyboard is more accurate, the 7/8/ultra coke with an actual on screen keyboard instead of the block to scribble letters in, so full size is technically “correct” when you compare it to what it replaces.

Yup.
Mine has a full QWERTY keyboard but it's far from full sized, it's a watch.
I wouldn't mind trying a scribble keyboard but I don't think my watch supports it, or if it does, I don't know how to enable it.

The scribble one did not work well, was a letter at a time. I have the keyboard on mine and I have seen the scribble, will see if I can work out how to get it.

I had the scribble on my 38mm Apple Watch 3.
It's fine in a pinch but not much more. Too slow.
