Apple Watch thread

That’s because the iCare is a Core specific product and not the same as Apple Care that’s why with iCare you only get like 1 screen replacement, too many restrictions but Apple Care covers quite a lot.
Yeah I'm just commenting on the claim that anyone can get iCare if they buy through an authorised channel. Maybe it's true, but iStore was having none of it when I inquired.

There are few companies that I hate more than Core. Sadly if you are an Apple fan, you have to deal with them at some point.

The person was talking ****, you can buy iCarw for any device within 30 days of purchase, they simply need to inspect the device first.

No; iCare is very much an iStore only product.

Literally part and parcel of the their marketing plan and how to keep customers coming to them instead of using others.

It’s precisely why Core competing with their own customers in the retail space is such a sham.

Had no trouble with my Mac that I did not buy from them, quite frankly I only buy from them when they give it for free, otherwise I go elsewhere and then go buy it.

I bought a Series 8 with iCare(?) today, how is it activated?

You dont go to the store to do it. Actvating the cellular service is something you do as part of the set-up and activation of cellular services on the watch - at least for MTN. You are redirected to sign into your MTN account where you then accept to add the watch plan to your account. Once done, it gets activated relatively quickly - mine was about 5 mins. The MTN stores nor the call centre can do this for your or help you - the store will only give you a piece or paper that tells you how to do it yourself.

Need to go to the store to get the contract cause you cannot do eSIM on prepaid.

So getting a new line and will load the eSIM to my phone and then watch.

Apparently MTN only allows direct and not franchise stores, and not even their online/call service centers to do it.

Does anyone here have hands on experience between the Series 7 or 8 and the Ultra? Looking at activating the Watch benefit through Discovery, just curious if I should pay in the difference and go for the Ultra, or go for a Series 7 or 8 45mm.

Currently on the Series 6.
