So eSIM was actually pretty easy. Went to Watch app, selected setup mobile, took me to an MTN page to activate the eSIM for the device. Then it took about 10 minutes to provision and activate it.Can confirm, just have to pay in the difference. Got mine this morning.

Put it on your arm and walk through?I’m going to the US soon and was considering buying an Apple Watch while there. Anyone knows what the process is when buying an item like that overseas and bringing it to SA? I declare it at the airport and pay taxes again or get refunded for the US taxes paid?
Paired it on an older iPhone and the update worked .Yeah, hence the 'if' - could possibly try switching off BT on the phone but I'm clutching at straws. I can't remember everything I tried and what eventually worked but I did get it to work eventually without having to reset the phone.
Probably best to wait for Black Friday, if you can.My partner's birthday is coming up soon, I want to buy her a apple watch series 7 or 2nd Gen SE cash. Any deals to look out for?

No - it was the fact that the it needed a new WatchOS version before it could be used. That update doesn't work - and from what I read, it doesn't seem to work on the newer iPhones. Kept hanging on both my 13 Pro and the gf 13 Mini. She found a friend at the office with an older phone and no issue updating.Did the manual setup with the code never work?
That’s usually pretty sure fire.
That's why I made sure to get the cellular version and go through all Vodacom's many hoops to get it activated. I can think of many times people would take your cellphone but you might be left with your watch and still able to call. Only here in South Africa, we don't have a 911 service ... but you can at least phone other people for help. Imagine reaching the SAPS call centre with a muffled Watch call.Jeezlike, imagine being alive just because you happen to have a piece of wearable tech!

Anyone here with suggestions and recommendations for a body bumper/case protector or a screenguard? Series 8 45mm which I assume is backwards compate with Series 7?
Yea this is classic iStore / Core. When the M2 Macbook Air came out the Macbook Pro went up R3 000 overnight.
