Apple Watch thread

Eish. Most stores in JHB don’t have stock. Awaiting my TPU cover first anyhow before I pull the trigger though
I called the iStore this morning enquiring about two stores close to me regarding stock - they weren't able to help me. However, I chatted to them via WhatsApp trying luck, one of the consultants were able to confirm that both had limited stock. Maybe try their Whatsapp 0870575500

Got mine today!

But…

Ok, before anybody gets too jealous, this is not a new series 10. It is a secondhand series 8 that I got for a good deal off Marketplace.

My first generation (series 0) Watch has given me 8 years of awesome service, still doesn’t have a single scratch on the screen, and battery life surprisingly still good for its age…but it was time for an upgrade!

The jump of eight generations and seven software versions (the series 0 only went up to WatchOS 4), feels incredible, so I just had to share it on here!

Went ahead and got it. Battery life alone is worth the upgrade over my aging S5. Amazon was the easiest albeit I lost out on the 2 year warranty from Incredible

Planning to get back to my long distance ultra marathon training next year. Looking to upgrade my watch the only Apple Watch I ever own was the first Gen back in 2015 it died then went with a Garmin vivoactive but battery life sucked after 3 years. Now I am due for an upgrade

It depends on if you want a smart watch or not, Garmin will hands down have better battery life, but it can tell time and track sports.

GPS is probably much of a muchness between the 2, same with HR sensors. So your data will be as accurate.

Apple can do loads more when you’re not running.

I went from the Fennix 6 to the AW6 which was already loads better for me, and then to the Ultra when it came out.

Dude can you do an ultra marathon and finish with enough battery life on AW6?
