If the device was bought and registered with AppleCare while in the other country it will be honoured elsewhere.

But you cannot register an SA device with Applecare for instance.


Technically like Vinodh pointed out thought Apple "may" restrict warranty service but I don't believe they actually do so.

A friend did exactly that - while on holiday in SA, the iStore honoured her AppleCare.

It's an extended warranty - but more to the point if I manage to break the phone, ie water damage, cracked screen, etc - they'll replace it for a small fee.

But wait if Apple Care is active it is linked to your devices serial number so it might be honoured nout sure on Apple Care Plus.You can check on Apple's website under support and in the bottom right hand side other resources for the service and support status enter your serial number and see what support coverage you have

That's not AppleCare, it's AppleCare+, and not even valid at Euro/UK Apple Stores. I doubt very much it will be valid anywhere but the US.
