Any specific products that you've used and can recommend for removing scratches from a fridge or stove?

Are the scratches enamel/paint scratches or scratches in the metal?

Well I don't know. Is a metallic fridge really made of metal? If so, then the scratches are in the metal.

If it's silver coloured then it's probably metal, the enamel coatings are usually coloured. Is the metal textured (eg. brushed look) or is it smooth metal? If it's textured I don't think you will have much luck getting rid of the scratches.

With enamel you can get a similar colour and touch it up but other than that it's pretty hard.

I detail vehicles...
With vehicle paintwork, you can 'fill' the scratch with a 'filler polish' or you can completely remove it by polishing the clear coat until satisfactory

Post a a pic of the scratch perhaps?

My fridge is the same colour as my car, got a scratch on the fridge door and used some of my car touch up paint, applied it with a toothpick and looks good to me.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo. Stop it's not. I have a floor to ceiling bosch and the front is stainless steel and the sides I *thought* were stainless steel because they had a fixture enclosure built for the fridge so you only saw the front... until during a move I noticed a shadow or smudge so I took handy andy, Silver polish, and stainless steel cleaning spray and now I am buffing a huge pothole of grey coloured plastic.

The metallic fridges are plastic, unless you've gone and bought yourself a nice expensive fridge (R10k+).

Best option is potentially a type of filler paint, but it will never look perfect again tbh.

Yup, thats a plastic covering.

Come to think of it though, you might be in luck.

Go to your nearest builders warehouse, they should have a few options that will be in the colour range.

Things like PlastiDip.

so you want him to have a rubber type finish on his fridge??

Abzo, try a light abrasive or polish, it might lessen the scratches
Try on a small, hidden section first though
if you still not happy you can vinyl it in any colour you want
They even have metal vinyl if you still want the metal look

Clever sales gimmick. They sell these fridges as "Stainless Steel" and at big sizes close to 10K mind, and, in the normal course of things the fridge goes straight into the built -in kitchen niche where the sides are never expected to be seen and only the doors are stainless. But these too are subject to dents from well placed kicks and easily concealed by calenders and magnets.

Plastidip have a metallic type option now.... there are also other products, plastidip was just the one that came to mind.

Personally I wouldn't mind having a rubber type finish on my fridge actually, could look cool.

Well if it gets really bad I guess you could always just contact the manufacturer and get a replacement door? Shouldn't be more than a 1/4 the price of the fridge i'd guess.

I'm guessing you have a fridge that cost about R4000? (give or take)

I would expect the manufacturer to hit you for at least R2000 for a new door... minimum.
