I really am confused right now.
:(

I would like to prioritize some applications over the internet. (WoW and Internet)
Now, as far as I understand I need to use QoS scheduling on the 105WR.

The router is so confusing, that I have NO idea what's going on.

Could anyone please explain how to set it up?

I already know which ports are in use by the apps.

:(

Hey bro. QoS will only help if you'd like to "limit" certain apps.

All programs carry the same level of priority on a router. The router does not actually communicate with each seperately, which means your browser will be using just as much bandwidth as your download manager when used seperately.

It's not necessary to be honest. You might need to look into getting an unshaped account. Look at WebAfrica and Axxess ;)

What speed line do you have?

What's your upload speed? It could very well be that the server you are connecting to has higher latency. It could be your ISP as well.

Have you ever had a WebAfrica prepaid account? You might want to buy one (shaped is fine) for R70 and test it out. I know it doesn't make sense saying it, but an ISP can have better speeds than another, even on the same network (SAIX, IS etc.).

384/128 line.
Telkom Internet (3GB package)
WebAfrica prepaid local-only.

In my opinion, you would need to upgrade the line speed to get any other performance gain to be honest. 128 upload speed is quite slow. Even 512 upload on a 4mbps line gets hard to use sometimes :p
