Application Support Specialist – Gaming Systems Services

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support
• Responsible for providing semi-complex on property and also remote support and training for internal and external customers with regards to casino management systems and operations
• Provision of or provides on-site service and configuration of installed gaming systems
• Provide support and advice to customers to solve semi-complex problems with systems; problems are related to software use and database integrity,
• Interacts with field engineers and customers to identify issues related to installed gaming systems
• Provides phone-based or remote dial-in application support to Customers, who are diagnosing and troubleshooting semi-complex problems with systems installed on customer sites
• Carries out activities related to new installations, maintenance and upgrades of platforms or Gaming Systems software applications
• Conducts semi-complex analyses to diagnose and solve systems functional problems
• Analyses and defines user problems and coordinates with users to identify and remediate problems
• Assists the database administrator for the purpose of maintaining database operation at peak performance, to protect information, and to maintain integrity of data.
• Creates queries and reports for the purpose of providing timely and accurate gaming information to customers.
• Ensures that all reporting expectations are satisfied for the purpose of ensuring compliance with mandatory regulatory requirements.
• Participates in future systems planning analysis for the purpose of system environment changes.
Training
• Leads the training of casino personnel in gaming platforms / systems / applications
• Creates curriculum and conducts training classes for the purpose of increasing end user competencies with gaming system applications.
• Participates in the development of support material and course curriculum with product management
• Leads in the development of documentation of software functionality for the purpose of ensuring ease of product use and delivering uniform and consistent operational methodologies to users.
• Provides a variety of guidance, direction, and training to less-experienced users as needed, including providing advice to users at a level consistent with user’s expertise for the purpose of providing support to other users
Required Qualifications:
• Degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Has 8 to 12 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles preferably in the gaming industry.
• Has in-depth knowledge of / skills in several of the content areas of:
o Gaming Regulations and Casino Operations
o Gaming Systems software support
o Casino business functions support
o Customer service
• Knowledge of gaming platforms / systems is advantageous
• Team leadership, organizational and analytical skills,
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Special requirements needed
• Able to obtain a Gaming License

• Valid driver license and clean driving record
