I keep them updated - overwrite the old install with the new one when it comes out. I'm pretty disciplined with that type of thing, and I can always download the latest when I want to install. Having them there is a nice reminder though.

VirtuaWin - you might want to take a look at Dexpot. I found that to be very likable on Win7x64.

Ooh, nobody mentioned SyncToy. Love that app.
