Applying at Offerzen as a Junior Ux Designer

Hi, has anyone here applied to Offerzen as a Ux designer? I would like to ask if it is a requirement to know how to code as I saw on the site something about taking a coding testing? I am a junior and I design in Figma but i cant code. Also im a junior with limited experience but i have a portfolio to showcase all of my work ive done, would that lead to a rejection? Has anyone with my experience applied or would I be wasting my time? Thank you in advance

No, UX designers are never expected to actually code.

Treat your job search as a sales exercise. Define what your are and how you want to work. Position yourself so that your expectations, skills and value to a company can easily be communicated.

If you don't code, don't apply for coding jobs. Apply for design jobs and make sure your sales pitch is on point.

But don't OfferZen require you to take a coding test before joining? I thought OfferZen is a marketplace for developers

I have no idea to be honest. Used to work for an offerzen related company 5-6 years ago and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole but ymmv

The company I joined through OZ was a revolving door for new starts. They culled people quicker that they hired.

Where I work, designers aren't required to do real coding (ie the actual logic), but being technical enough to write html, css and being able to wire it all into a React component for example is a huge advantage.
