Hi

I am looking to get the Internet installed. I am gonna be going through Telkom for everything wondering what will be the quickest way to have it done, via the call centre or going into a Telkom store and applying there. They say it takes about 2 weeks for it to be done but I have also heard of people waiting way longer than that in the past.

The length of time depends on the time it takes for your line to be installed. This varies due to conditions such as whether an ADSL line has been there previously etc.

It would be best for you to go to a Telkom Store, as they will go through the procedure with you and make sure you are on good terms before agreeing to anything (as opposed to on the phone, things sometimes get rushed). Also, try avoid getting yourself into contracts - rather look for a month to month package from them

Thanks for the input. I am looking at the Telkom simple plan uncapped 4mb line no contract they say but I will confirm to make sure it's not on a contract. I will be going Telkom store in a mall this evening and see what they can do for me.
