Applying for UK visitor visas for kids

Has anyone applied for UK visitor visas for a family with kids recently.

The online process requires a separate application form for each traveller irrespective of age.

You can only submit the application once you booked an appointment and made payment. I worry that I might not be allowed to book an appointment at the same time for myself and my kids as I have to submit their applications separately from my own.

I can't find a phone number for enquiries.

Had to go through the pain for our April holiday. Fill in everything up to the point of selecting the appointment time. Save your progress at that stage for each applicant. Then go back to each application and select the appointment time. I think they allow 3 or 4 people per timeslot.

Then register all the applicants on the TLScontact site. On the site you have the option to group all the applications into one appointment. Or just pitch up with the whole family at the earliest appointment time that you manage to book.

Make sure you print the completed application form and the checklist for each family member.

(There is no phone number for local queries. And if you want to contact UKVI it'll cost £1.50 per minute on top of your call rate or £6 per e-mail)

P*ssed!! Had managed to get times for all four of us for tomorrow and guess what there is a freaking strike tomorrow and no dates for Thursday or Friday. DH is travelling on Monday for two weeks and man I was ready to apply a month ago but because of scheduling and work tomorrow was perfect and now back to square one. Yep I know #firstworldproblems.
