Only the browsers can.

Anybody know of an app where I can enter the proxy details to allow apps to connect to the net as well?

Thanks

You should have a setting for your WiFi under advanced where you can add the proxy settings. However, depending of the type of proxy, there might be something like Dual Authentication, which is a pain to get past on the Androids

I've added they proxy settings in there. That's how I know that I can connect with the browsers (FF and the stock browser), but for instance the Gmail app can't connect to the net :(

Ok, that sounds like double authentication. At previous company we had to run open WiFi (no Proxy), for the Execs and all their mobile toys due to the double authentication.
