Apps for Blackberry

I'm a little confused.

Lately, I've been seeing adverts and emails for apps, but one thing stick out with all of them. EG:

1) Get your mybroadband app...... for IPHONE and ANDROID
2) Get Skype mobile now..... for IPHONE and ANDROID
3) Get the new computicket app.... for IPHONE
4) Stream live TV from your phone with justin.tv.... for ANDROID

Please don't think I'm coming across as a troll. I myself use a BB Torch and I love the phone! I could not go back to a phone without BBM ever again.
But on the same note, I just want to understand - Why are developers not willing to maker apps for blackberry? Is it a more complicated platform? Are there not enough BB users (I can hardly believe that's the case in SA)?
Anyone got any ideas? I'd love to get some of the above apps for my phone!

I kinda doubt myBB would develop an app, since the forum is accessible through mobile. I don't see the point of an app.

As far as getting skype on your blackberry goes, eish... You see, skype and a US carrier called Verizon is kinda in bed having butt-secks with each other. If you want Skype on your blackberry, you're gonna have to emigrate to America and sign up with Verizon.
 
It is a more complicated platform. Blackberries are not as easy to develop for as iOS or Android, or as capable.

What's preventing us from having skype isnt their relationship with Verizon but Vodacom, mtn, et al not wanting to sacrifice their bottom line.
