This is on both Apple and Android? The Play Store alone has more than 600,000 applications. The Apple store also has more than 600,000 application, so that's 0.009% of all the apps in the store. I don't see this as a major problem. I can choose not to download these apps, but I think it's better to not ban them simply because you can.

Yes, the figures are in the article. IIRC it was a 60:40 split between the iOS app store and android app store.
