I would just like advice on ordering an item from the Middle East, would Aramex Global Shopper be my best option, are there any other reliable alternatives. What are the costs associated with these Global shopping accounts.

I have mixed feelings about AGS and other services, but I understand that sometimes there isn't really an alternative. For the most part I've had good luck with AGS, but I got seriously burnt when they lost a pair of new BT earphones. I paid a lot in school fees. After that, I swore not to use them again, then promptly used them to ship something from Hongkong.

I paid R258 in shipping fees. I may have had to pay a bit on top of that for customs.

Thanks for the feedback, i checked the rate calculator, it indicates a fee of about R1,000 to ship an item of clothing from the middle east, so i might give it a miss.
