"Architect" recommendations - Northern Subs

I'm looking to do some simple renovations. Repurposing existing areas into bedrooms, bathrooms, adding patio etc.

Most of the ideas/changes I've already worked out on paper, just need someone to sanity check and update house plans according to the requirements.

Most architects I've contacted ask the same fees, whether building new a house in upmarket estates, or renovating in middle class area. One company wanted R12000 just to redraw my existing house plans without any changes. Plus another R30000 for the new plans. I think this is too much given that it is all straight forward.

Any recommendations in the Northern suburbs (Durbanville surrounds) . Thanks

We used them for our roadside boundary wall plans.

The contractor we got given charged R5750 for everything. Used him again for building at the back of the house and paid R6000. Sadly he has stopped freelancing so can't recommend him specifically.
