Archiving Email

I have a small project that archives projects(we do about 2000 projects a year) in a directory structure i.e

projectxxx1/documents
projectxxx1/emails
projectxxx1/invoices


with regards to the email I need to export them to the file System, should I create a pst per project in the email directory or just store the emails as eml objects?


what are your guys thoughts ??

Hi greggpb,
I would look at storing the information in something like SharePoint or KnowlegeTree. The "free" version of sharepoint will enable you to move emails from your pst into sharepoint. Knowledgetree provides a public version that works quite well.

Multiple PST's are a nightmare for me as you have to "remember" which pst file you were using. I see misfiling as the biggest issue.
Sharepoint and knowledgetree provide indexed search facility as well.
