Are Afrihost throttling torrents ?

We do not throttle torrentz. In fact I download alot of torrentz and I get the full speed. Maybe there are not so many peers for the torrent you downloading? (And no I am not biased because I work at Afrihost

I'm torrenting pretty much all the time, and I always max the line out (384k).

You couldn't throttle them even if you wanted to!

Torrents and Usenet run fine for me... full speed. On both Afrihost and OpenWeb. No problems here.

Hi guys
Sorry to reopen such an old threat. I'm a old time Torrenter, but someone introduced me to Sickbeard (which very impressively manages all your series, automatically download missing episodes etc etc), but Sickbeard prefers the use of usenet. I tried setting up SABNZBD (a "plugin" that downloads the NZB's and "talk" back to Sickbeard) with Afrihost, but it speed seems to be a problem (I know my account is throttled during the day, so I'll check it out again tonight when the shaping is lifted), but I was wondering about the following:
1) Does Afrihost have a retention to their News server? (news.afrihost.com) If so,
2) How many active connections should you be able to have?
3) Are their any limits on the amount of data you may download? (ie, how many GB's can I download per day)
