Are all coffee capsules recyclable?

So long story short I usually fill our Nespresso recycling bin with used capsules and once full I drop them off at Nespresso.

Recently however, i've ventured into Illy capsules which i mix in with my favorite Nespresso ones. It only occurred to me now that i've been throwing those ones into the Nespresso recycle bin too.

Anyone know if they're all recyclable? I don't want to drop off this bag and be responsible for breaking someone's recycling machine or something lol.

What are they made of? If they're all painted aluminium then they'd be recycled the same way.

I've been putting all aluminium capsules regardless of brand into that recycling bag for years. It's the same type. Hence the alternative coffee pods work just like the original ones.

The plastic based ones normally cause the machine to struggle in my experience and hence I never buy them. Definitely not to put the plastic ones in the Nespresso bag.

Good Q. They feel different, more firm than the normal capsules. But might still be aluminum i dont know.

plastic with that heat? didn't even think that would work.

These definitely don't feel plastic so i'm gonna guess they're just normal aluminum.

It never occurred to me to check the box lol - it says "10 Aluminium capsules"
