Please tell me that IS users are not the only ones suffering with shoddy bandwidth, your response may just lead me to CAN my contract.

I think he means with the intl bandwidth problems, not sure, not at home at the moment so not using ADSL.

What shoddy bandwidth? My IS account runs well and is a bloody good service. Maybe your problem is "Operator Error".

No IS users are not. You might want to be more specific though in order to get a more specific answer. My advice to any person using any service on the ISP side is to go for the one that suits you, even if it is a Telkom service. It is the job of the different ISPs to complain and cause a ruccus if they cannot compete on an equal footing. At the end of the day it is your money they will lose. Your job as a consumer is simply to get the best bang for your buck.

I'm having problems with both IS and SAIX accounts.

The problems are less severe with SAIX, though. I'm switching to them permanently next month.

Im using local with openweb everything is running perfect.. and my SAIX intl is also running perfect... no probs here... Must say IS had a bad month last month it seems...

But if u guys want INTL bw i would not suggest IS, SAIX intl bw is far better.... IS is good for local :P

Apart from the known latency resulting from the satellite connections, how exactly is SAIX far better than IS? IMHO IS is far better because you can buy uncapped, and it runs my line at full speed.
