Are premium controllers worth it?

I saw a Nacon Revolution for R1800 at games4u was gonna get that
so i must try and fix these ones hey
I think I can manage that ill give it a bash
Definitely have a go at repairing and cleaning them first. I had the same analogue stick drift issue with my ps4 controller and managed to sort it out myself following a youtube tutorial.

I have to agree though that it seems they "don't make 'em like they used to". I had PS1 and Xbox 360 controllers that outlived the consoles themselves without any issues but my PS4 controller started palying up after about 2 years.

Nacon Pro Revolution 2 is a God-tier controller

Bought myself a Xbox One Elite controller last year, not sure about the durability yet but it feels nice in hand, if not a bit on the heavy side. Bought it to take advantage of the paddles but found I've developed a grip that has me accidentally hitting the paddles all the time and I got impatient trying to unlearn that so turned out to be a bit of a waste.

It makes many a game. You missing out dude :)
Games like? Last time I tried it was with a racing game. The thing wouldn't stop vibrating. Every little bump in the road, every little crash, drifting etc made me shake. Even just a tiny little scrape while driving at 1km/h vibrated for like 3 seconds.

Nah thanks I'm good without it. I also once played a game which didn't include the option to turn it off.

Destiny 2. You can feel the difference in the different weapons you use.

The new PS5 controller is reportedly going to have much better "haptic feedback" to improve the experience even more.

Can't wait.

Oh. I've never even attempted to play any sort of shooter with a controller. But mine is cheap so the vibration is equally strong at all times no matter what :D

Maybe that's the issue - you need a decent controller.

I think I would totally suck at trying to play shooters with a controller

It takes a lot of practice if you haven't grown up using a controller. I moved to console primarily a little while back and was torture in the beginning, now I'm more comfortable with a controller than with KB&M.

The aim assist does help :)

Xbox one controller? Yes, it's 5 t6 or to screws holding it together. The grips on the back clip off, use a spludger or a blunt knife to gently pry them off.
Behind the battery pack is the other screw, it's actually a lot better put together than the DS3 that's for sure.
