Are Telkom branded modems network locked?

Anyone know if the following Telkom branded modems are network locked?

LTE stick For R199 once off

Mine are not locked, used MTN and CellC sims in them.

When last did you buy yours? Is it the one with the Telkom logo?

Mine is not locked either.. (R649 once off, D Link DWR 730), purchased in October 2015

Mine is the Telkom branded one, firmware version is 2.00TK

I am using the MTN afrihost R1 deal sim in them... no problem.. The device detects the default sim APN, and connects. (I just had to go in the config and change it from MTN to afrihost...

I even upgraded the firmware from the DLink website... but this isn't necessary for the use of other network sim cards...

No they are not.

When last did you buy yours? Is it the one with the Telkom logo?

It was the 5Gb special during September if I remember correctly. Mobile Huawei WiFi E5573 4G. Huawei logo and not Telkom but with 2300MHz 4G frequency.
